HAIRWISE PRIVACY POLICY

1. DATA WE COLLECT

  • Images: We collect photos of your hair/scalp that you upload for analysis and tracking. These images are securely transmitted to our secure servers for processing and to support your history over time.
  • User Content: We collect the information you enter in the app (for example, routine and shedding logs).
  • Account Data: We collect a user identifier associated with Sign in with Apple to save your data and sync across devices.
  • Subscription Data: We collect subscription status and purchase history related to in-app purchases (processed by Apple). We may use providers such as RevenueCat and Superwall to manage subscription status and paywalls.
  • Usage & Diagnostics: We collect app interaction data and technical diagnostics (such as crash and performance data) to improve stability and performance.

2. HOW WE USE YOUR DATA

  • To Analyze: Your photos are processed to provide density scoring and tracking insights over time.
  • AI Processing: Your photos may be analyzed using third-party AI services to generate insights. We do not use your data to train AI models.
  • Affiliate Links: We use affiliate links for product recommendations. Clicking these links may share a non-personal "referral ID" with the merchant to track the source of the click. We do not share your personal data or photos with these merchants.

3. DATA STORAGE & SECURITY

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. Your images are stored on secure cloud servers and are encrypted in transit and at rest. We use trusted service providers to operate the app (cloud storage/processing and subscription/paywall services). We may share data with these service providers only as needed to operate the app and deliver features, and not for advertising purposes.

4. DATA DELETION & YOUR RIGHTS

You retain full ownership of your data.

  • In-App Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data by going to Settings > Delete Account within the app. We delete data from our active systems promptly; some data may remain in backups for a limited period.
  • Manual Request: Alternatively, you may contact us at muhammad@hairwise.net to request data removal.

5. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Our services are not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal data, we will delete it.
